GLASSFIBRE MOULDED INSULATED PUMP COVERS, WATER TREATMENT WORKS, NOTTINGHAM. A COST SAVING SOLUTION: These pumps on a water treatment works in Nottinghamshire were continually needing costly maintenance. Our client instructed us to design and manufacture pump covers using hand layed moulded glassfibre. A polyester resin was used and a UV resistant gel coat to ensure their high gloss finish lasted for many years. A thoroughly satisfied customer. |

FIBREGLASS MOULDED GRP DOOR. PROBLEM SOLVED. Due to new Health and Safety guidelines this chemical store on the roof of a brewery in Burton on Trent required chemical resistant hand layed moulded glassfibre doors. GRP Consultants manufactured the doors at their Derby workshop using a chemical resistant resin and gel coat to meet the clients requirements. They were fitted to the store using stainless steel bolts and fixings. |

AIR CONDITIONING DUCT. A WATERTIGHT HAND LAYED GLASSFIBRE COATING TO AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AT LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY, LEICESTERSHIRE. The duct had to be located underground, therefore a watertight hand layed glassfibre coating was applied followed by a resin coating to seal the entire ducting. The duct was encapsulated with fibre glass at our Derbyshire workshop and the joints sealed with glass fibre on site in Loughborough. |

The customer required an easy to clean and maintain glassfibre resin system to protect their insulated pipework. We applied the fibreglass finish by hand and applied a food grade gel coat finish. |

The salty sea air meant that the flag pole was always in need of painting so we shotblasted the entire flagpole and then applied a white fibre glass coating followed by a UV resistant white resin gel coat to ensure that the flagpole was maintenance free - no more painting required. |

MOULDED DE-STONER COVER, BREWHOUSE BREWERY, BURTON-ON-TRENT, STAFFORDSHIRE The engineers had a continued battle with the grain corroding the covers causing vast amounts of waste. GRP Consultants were instructed to coat the internal surfaces of the cover with a hard wearing gel coat system. We applied a food grade gel coat with an 8% carbon grit. Although the system did not remove the need for continual maintenance the engineers were able to plan a maintenance programme ensuring waste and downtime were at a minimum making substantial savings. |
